บทคัดย่อ

Abstract

The Real Estate and Construction Material Planning System is a webbased
system which developed to manage family business and enhance the
quality of service in order to meet customer’s requirements. It was developed
to replace the typical system which managed in a conventional way, namely,
unorganized document, less privacy and security, no data input validation,
and lack of house customizing by a customer. The new system aims to help
improve service management and document management. It also provides
convenience to those with the intention of carry out customization at anytime
and anywhere.
The main objective of this independent study is to enable customers
customizing a house exterior by selecting given choices of construction
material and color of derived house model in many styles which created from
Google SketchUp. As part of this independent study development, Adobe
Flex and PHP are used as its development tool. The system is working on a
7x24 hours basis and supports information access to its pages for all browsers.
A user visit statistics from March to May 2010 shows that the highest number
of online users found is in March. Two new comers access to the system in
April and three in May. As a result, the number of monthly new users
increases continuously.
In conclusion, the benefits from this independent study are; time
efficiently, paperless environment as documents are organized and stored in
the database, data input validation to reduce duplication or improper of data,
more privacy and security as a consideration must be taken place to prevent
any risk to customers’ information. A set of recommendations are mentioned
in the last part of the documentation for further research and work in
improving the developed project.
