บทคัดย่อ
สำนักหอสมุด มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ มีภาระกิจด้านให้บริการและเป็นแหล่งจัดเก็บ
รวบรวมทรัพยากรอันทรงคุณค่าทั้งหนังสือ สื่อการเรียนการสอน และฐานข้อมูลที่เป็นประโยชน์แต่
ผู้สนใจค้นคว้า โดยนำระบบคอมพิวเตอร์และเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศเข้ามาช่วยในการให้บริการ
เช่น ระบบควบคุมทางเข้าอาคาร , ระบบห้องสมุดอัจฉริยะโดยใช้เทคโนโลยี RFID Tag , ระบบ
ห้องสมุดอัตโนมัติ , ระบบยืมหนังสือด้วยตนเอง (Self check out) โดยระบบต่างๆ เหล่านี้แยก
เป็นอิสระและจัดเก็บข้อมูลแยกกัน และในขณะเดียวกันก็ทำให้เกิดข้อมูลปฏิบัติงาน (Transaction
Data) ขึ้นมากมายในแต่ละวัน และเกิดปัญหาข้อมูลที่จัดเก็บจากหลายแหล่งที่มา มีรูปแบบ
(Format) ที่ต่างกัน และเกิดความซ้ำซ้อนในการจัดเก็บ โดยนำไปสู่ปัญหาข้อมูลไม่สอดคล้องไม่
สามารถนำมาใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ และออกรายงานได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ
การจัดทำคลังข้อมูล (Data Warehouse) โดยนำข้อมูลปฏิบัติงานของการให้บริการผู้ใช้
ในด้านต่าง ๆ มาวิเคราะห์ในมิติของ เวลา ประเภทบริการ ประเภทผู้ใช้ โดยมีตัววัดคือปริมาณการ
ใช้งาน มานำเสนอในรูปแบบของรายงาน สรุปผลการดำเนินงานเป็นสิ่งที่ผู้บริหารให้ความสนใจ
โดยข้อมูลดังกล่าวต้องมีความถูกต้อง ตรงตามความต้องการ และทันต่อเหตุการณ์ที่เปลี่ยนแปลง
ตลอดเวลา ด้วยการนำเสนอข้อมูลผ่านเว็บแอพพลิเคชั่น (Web Application) ที่ผู้บริหารสามารถดู
รายงาน ที่มีรายละเอียดในเชิงลึกในลักษณะ Drill down โดยกำหนดเงื่อนไขของข้อมูลที่ต้องการ
ด้วยตนเอง และสามารถหาคำตอบเพื่อประกอบการพิจารณาจัดสรรทรัพยากรเพื่อการให้บริการได้
อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ
Abstract
The Office of the University Library, Kasetsart University’s mission is to provide
the public services as well as to collect a high quality information resource, including
monographs, educational media, and databases that are beneficial to all users with
employing the computer system and information technology to support its services, for
example, Access Building Control System, Intelligent Library System with RFID
technology, Automated Library System, and Self Check System. In general, all systems
operate and store data separately; as the result, there is the emerging of numerous daily
transaction data that are stored in different sources and a variety of formats. That also
leads to redundant and incompatible data that cannot be used for analysis and
establishing report effectively.
Consequently, the important features that the executives would be interested in
are not only building the data warehouse which collects all Public Services-related data
and analyzes them in the dimensions of time, type of services and users by measuring
the usage as an indicator, but it should also present in form of report and the summary
of performance. In additions, those data have to be accurate, relevant, and always upto-
date towards any changing circumstances whereas the executive can view the indepth
report of data in format of drill down through the web application which they could
assign their own choices and figure out the answer relating acquisition decision.
