บทคัดย่อ
ระบบนำทางและแนะนำสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวในมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ หรือ Insight KU เป็นแอพพลิเคชั่นบนสมาร์ตโฟนแอนดรอยด์ เพื่อแนะนิสิตใหม่ ผู้ที่เข้ามาติดต่อในมหาวิทยาลัย หรือผู้สนใจทั่วไป ให้รู้จักตึกต่างๆ, แหล่งเรียนรู้, สถานที่ที่น่าสนใจ และสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวอื่นๆ ภายในมหาวิทยาลัย เกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขตบางเขน พร้อมระบบนำทางเพื่อให้สามารถไปถึงจุดหมายที่ไม่รู้จักได้ โดยระบบนี้สามารถทำงานได้โดยไม่ต้องอาศัยการเชื่อมต่ออินเตอร์เน็ต
เทคโนโลยีที่นำมาใช้เป็นหลักคือ GPS ซึ่งมีอยู่แล้วบนสมาร์ตโฟนทั่วไป เพื่อทำการติดตามตำแหน่งปัจจุบันของผู้ใช้ในระหว่างการนำทาง โดยโปรแกรมจะทำการหาและแสดงเส้นทางเดินเท้าที่สั้นที่สุดจากจุดปัจจุบันของผู้ใช้ไปยังจุดหมายที่เลือกไว้ขณะที่ผู้ใช้กำลังเดินให้โดยอัตโนมัติ
แอพพลิเคชั่นนี้จะแบ่งเป็น 4 ส่วน, ส่วนแสดงแผนที่และนำทาง (อินเตอร์เฟซเมือนกับโปรแกรมแผนที่นำทางทั่วไป), ส่วนค้นหา (ลักษณะคล้ายดรรชนีหนังสือ แต่พิมพ์ค้นหาได้), ส่วนแสดงสถานที่สำคัญตามหมวดหมู่ (ลักษณะคล้ายสารบัญหนังสือ), และส่วนแสดงข้อมูลสถานที่ (ลักษณะคล้ายแต่ละหน้าในหนังสือทัวร์หรือสารานุกรม ซึ่งแสดงรูปภาพและคำบรรยาย) โดยพัฒนาด้วยภาษา Java และใช้งานบนแพลตฟอร์ม Android 4.0 ขึ้นไป
Abstract
Navigator and Guidebook Application for Kasetsart University or Insight KU is an application on Android smartphone/tablet for introducing new students, visitor and interested individual to buildings, interesting locations, and attractions located within Bangkhen Campus of Kasetsart University. This application also bundled with a GPS navigator which allows the user to commute to an un familiar location or building, without the need of internet connectivity.
Main technology used is the Global Positioning System, which is ubiquitous among smartphones, to detect current location of the user, then dynamically find and display the shortest walking path from current location to the user-selected point of interest (POI).
This application is divided into four functionalities: map and navigation module which resembles road navigation software, POI searching module which resembles index part of a book but user could search by typing, POI categories module which is analogous to book's table of contents, and POI information display module which is analogous to an entry in guidebook or encyclopedia, which shows POI's photo and description.
The development is done using Java programming language, and target application platform is Android 4.0 or above.
