บทคัดย่อ
ปัจจุบันการใช้งานซอร์ฟแวร์ห้องสมุดดิจิตอลในมหาวิทยาลัยของประเทศไทยมีค่าใช้จ่ายเนื่องจากค่าลิขสิทธิ์ ทางเลือกอีกทางหนึ่งคือการใช้ซอร์ฟแวร์ห้องสมุดดิจิตอลแบบเปิดเผยรหัส ปัญหาสำคัญในการใช้งานซอร์ฟแวร์แบบเปิดเผยรหัสคือการถ่ายโอนข้อมูลจากซอร์ฟแวร์ที่ใช้งานอยู่ไปยังซอร์ฟแวร์ห้องสมุดดิจิตอลแบบเปิดเผยรหัส การศึกษาพบว่าปัญหาสำคัญในการถ่ายโอนข้อมูลประกอบด้วย โครงสร้างข้อมูลของต้นทางและปลายทางแตกต่างกัน บางข้อมูลไม่สามารถนำเข้าได้โดยตรงและข้อมูลของระบบเก่ามีจำนวนมากทำให้ต้องใช้เวลามากในการถ่ายโอนข้อมูล
Abstract
Currently, there are several universities in Thailnad has implemented the commercial digital library. The alternative way is to use the open source digital library that is free. The major problem of using the open source digital library software is data migration of existing data in commercial software. The research results showed exported data has different structure depending on their vendors, data is mismatch and time to migrate large volume of existing data.
The purpose of the independent study is to develop a process and a tool for data migration of digital library from INNOPAC commercial software to KOHA open source software. There are 4 steps of a migration process are study existing software and new software, transform to common format, data migration and data validation. Furthermore, the strong functionalties of a migration tool are supporting MARC format and CSV file, matching source and destination fields and rule for managing incompatible fields. The process and tool that were developed can be applied easily by modifying some of the
process and tool.
From data test at library of Kasertsart University for 100 bibliography records, 100 item records, 100 patron records and large volume of 60,000 bibliography records, the result of the migration process and tool from INNOPAC to KOHA found that data is covered all records after data migration has done. The completion of migrated data is 95%, the rest 5% data that cannot be migrated because their data structures are not compatible. All migrated data can be used in KOHA software with major functionalities such as searching and circulation. Moreover, the process can be appied with other digital library software that is DSPACE. In the future, there will be a need to create tool for transforming input from another sources supported by migration tool and validation tool. The validation tool validates data migrated so that a process and a tool will be more reliable.
