บทคัดย่อ
ปัจจุบันห้องสมุดอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ สถาบันวิชาการทหารเรือชั้นสูง มีข้อจำกัดในการสืบค้น หนังสือคือ ผู้ใช้สามารถสืบค้นแบบพื้นฐาน ตาม ชื่อเรื่อง ชื่อผู้แต่ง หัวเรื่องหรือคำสำคัญ ได้เพียงอย่างใดอย่างหนึ่ง นอกจากนั้นผู้ใช้ยังกำหนดคำค้นเพื่อสืบค้นเอกสารได้ครั้งละคำหรือวลีเดียว การศึกษาค้นคว้าด้วยตนเองนี้ จึงมีวัตถุประสงค์ที่จะพัฒนาระบบสืบค้นขึ้นใหม่ให้มีความยืดหยุ่นกว่าเดิม กล่าวคือ สามารถกำหนดคำค้นได้พร้อมกันมากกว่าหนึ่งคำ สามารถสืบค้นในลักษณะผสม เช่น ค้นตามชื่อเรื่องและหัวเรื่องพร้อมกัน อีกทั้งสามารถสืบค้นจากเนื้อความบทคัดย่อ และสามารถเปิดอ่านหรือบันทึกเนื้อความบทคัดย่อผ่านเว็บได้
ระบบสืบค้นเอกสารสำหรับห้องสมุดอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ สถาบันวิชาการทหารเรือชั้นสูงประกอบด้วย 2 ส่วนสำคัญ ได้แก่ ส่วนของระบบนำเข้าข้อมูลบทคัดย่อและโอนย้ายข้อมูลจากฐานข้อมูลในระบบเดิม (Access) เข้าสู่ฐานข้อมูลของระบบใหม่ (MySQL) และส่วนของระบบสืบค้นข้อมูลหนังสือผ่านเว็บบราวเซอร์ โดยมีฟังก์ชันหลักในการสืบค้น 2 แบบ คือ การสืบค้นจากโครงสร้างบรรณานุกรม และการสืบค้นเอกสารรูปเต็มภาษาไทยจากเนื้อความบทคัดย่อของเอกสารวิจัย ซึ่งได้นำเทคนิคการตัดคำภาษาไทย การทำดัชนีเอกสาร และวิธีการสืบค้นเอกสารรูปเต็มภาษาไทย มาประยุกต์ใช้งาน
ผลจากการนำไปทดลองใช้งาน พบว่า เจ้าหน้าที่ห้องสมุดทั้ง 3 ห้อง สามารถโอนย้ายข้อมูลจากระบบเดิมเข้าสู่ฐานข้อมูลส่วนกลางได้ด้วยตนเอง โดยใช้เวลา 5 วินาที ในการโอนย้ายข้อมูลหนังสือ 400 เล่ม การทำดัชนีเอกสาร 50 เล่ม ใช้เวลา 30 วินาที ส่วนการสืบค้นนั้นในระบบใหม่มีฟังก์ชันการสืบค้นที่เพิ่มขึ้น มีความยืดหยุ่นในการกำหนดคำค้น และยังสามารถค้นจากบทคัดย่อได้ ทำให้ผลลัพธ์ที่ได้จากการสืบค้นตรงตามความต้องการมากขึ้น
Abstract
Currently, the electronic library of Institutes of Advanced Naval Studies has a limitation on searching. The user could search by either title, author, subject or keyword. Moreover, the user could enter only one keyword or phrase at a time. The purpose of this independent study is then, to develop a new retrieval system that has more flexibility and the user could input more than one keyword in each query which could be mixed between title and subject at the same time. Additionaly, the user could search from the content of abstracts and also read or download it through website.
Search Engine for electronic library of Institutes of Advanced Naval Studies consists of two parts. The first part is the abstarct data entry and data transfer system which transfers the data from the old database (Microsoft Access) to the new database (MySQL). The second one is the retrieval system through web browser. The retrieval system has two functions. One is the field search which searches from bibliography. The other function is full text search which searches from the content of research abstracts. Thai word segmentation and indexing technique have been applied to the full fext search engine .
From the experiment, the librarians of three libraries could transfer data to the central database by themselves within 5 seconds for transfering 400 items. The indexing process takes 30 seconds for 50 documents. Based on the new search engine, the user could access the information more flexible and meet their requirement.
